Notes:
This is the story of aspects of Cambuslang, Rutherglen and East Kilbride, written from the viewpoint of a returned "exile" who is also a native of the Parish of Cambuslang - and remembers it as it was in the summer days of his childhood. Kinsfolk of Duncan Glen have lived in Cambuslang since at least the early seventeenth century. This is their story and that of those they married - Dunns, Blacks, McColls, Munros, Nairns, Kennedys, Tennents, Robertsons, Thomsons, Piries, and many another between 1793 and 1994. A long chapter is devoted to Hugh Glen of Wellshot House, Cambuslang, and his kinsfolk and descendants.
