This miscellany was compiled by the librarian of Baillieston Library, in response to local history enquiries about Sir Patrick Dollan, who was probably Baillieston's most famous "son". The material consists mainly of items uncovered in research carried out in the Mitchell Library. Sir Patrick Dollan is also associated with East Kilbride, having been the first chairman of East Kilbride Development Corporation from 1947-1961.
